A. Recoulley Obituary
Monroe, LA - Funeral services for A. H. "Sonny" Recoulley, Jr., 83, of Monroe, will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, December 23, 2017, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Recoulley was born March 4, 1934, in Monroe, LA, and passed away Friday, December 22, 2017, at his residence. A retired contractor, Mr. Recoulley was also a United States Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. To all those who knew him, he was always a man of his word. To his family, he has been, and will always be, a source of love, strength, and inspiration.
Mr. Recoulley was preceded in death by his parents, Alton Harry Recoulley, Sr. and Clara Mae Moore Recoulley; and wife, Dolores Waddle Recoulley.
Survivors include son, A. H. "Rec" Recoulley, III; daughters, Karen Recoulley Siudy and special son, Britton Mardis, Charese Recoulley Aldridge (Spence), and Sami Mae Recoulley Owens (Rick); 10 grandchildren, Kelsi Siudy Dickerson (Matt), Jenna Danielle Siudy, Emily Spencer Aldridge, Ethan Sykes Aldridge, Peyton Riley Owens, Mason Anthony Owens, Kyra Recoulley Upton (Anthony), Andrew Moore Recoulley, Samuel Luke Recoulley, and Madison Lynn Recoulley; special friends and caregivers who dedicated countless hours of selfless love and care, Barbara Thomas and Deborah Nabors; and another special friend, Carolyn Morris.
Pallbearers will be Rick Owens, Spence Aldridge, Matt Dickerson, Britton Mardis, Luke Recoulley, and Andrew Recoulley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Henry Sanford, Buck Stokes, Mike McGee, Bud Feazel, and Jerry Buddy Coghlan.
Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Saturday at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
The family would like to give a Special Thanks to Dr. Greg Green and Dr. Don Hammett, and staff at Cornerstone Wound Care.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a charity of your choice.

My sympathies to "Sonny"'s family. He was indeed a man of his word in all my dealings with him. I did the adobe tile in his house many years ago, and other jobs on which he and I worked together. He was a craftsman and contractor with integrity whom I respected. May God comfort you in your loss.
