Billy Kvaternik Obituary
Funeral Services for Billy "Willie" Kvaternik, 79, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 4:00PM January 15, 2017 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Bro. Woody Rimes and Bro. Rick McPhearson officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Willie passed away at his home in West Monroe on January 12, 2017. He was an active member of his church and a retired master welder that was always happy to lend a helping hand especially if welding was involved. Willie is preceded in death by his parents, Josip Kvaternik and Estella Bailey Kvaternik.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty McGrew Kvaternik; his two loving daughters Lisa Kvaternik and Billie Ruth Kvaternik; brother, Joe Kvaternik and wife Cheryl; sister, Josephine Hicks; and also survived and loved by numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Dencil Bailey, Clint Cooper, Mark Hargrove, Mike Hargrove, Terry Hicks, Todd Hilburn, Wayne Rutledge, Lance Sims and Terry Sims. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mack Calhoun, Wesley Clark, Tommy Gist, Heath Griffin, Logan Hackworth, BF Hargrove, Teddy May, Dean McGrew, Larry Rutledge, Ronnie Sims, Doyle Saterfiel, Lennie Sims, Willie Smith, Mike Stone, and JE Wilkes.
Visitation will be held from 4:00PM until 7:00PM Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Mercy Ministries.
The family would like to express a special thank you for all the support from their family and friends and the special care received by LA Hospice and Palliative Care.
