David Shipley Obituary
Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. David Lynn Shipley, 64, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday June 11, 2014 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Joel Brackett officiating. Interment will be in Luna Assembly of God Church Cemetery in West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Shipley died June 7, 2014 at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, LA after a sudden illness.
David was an equipment operator at the Ouachita Parish Public Works Department. He was a United States Navy Veteran.
David was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Gail Shipley, Parents, W. H. and Billie Shipley and Brothers, Douglas Shipley, Gerald Shipley and Raydon Shipley.
He is survived by daughters, Michelle Hopkins and husband, Keith, and Crystal Cole and husband, Alfred, Sr.; mother-in-law, Mrs. Joyce Booth; brother-in-law, Travis Booth; sisters, Willie Mae Stanford and husband, James, and Mary Jean Pope and husband, Sammy; brothers, James Shipley and wife, Debra, and Ricky Shipley; grandchildren, Alfred Cole, Jr., Jaycee Hopkins, Jolie Hopkins and Chance Cole; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Sammy Pope, Brent Stanford, Marc Shipley, Aubrey Shipley, Jeremy Booth, and Royce Shipley.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.

Very sorry to hear of David's passing, he and my dad was friends and worked together at the highway department. My Dad Alford(Noodie) was very saddened to learn of David's death. We wish you all peace and may Gofd Bless and keep you all in this time of need.
