Dianne Scarbrock Obituary
Funeral Services for Dianne Prestwood Van Scarbrock, 73, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA with Rev. Mark Fenn officiating. Interment will be held in the Hasley Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Dianne was born on March 11, 1940 and passed away on December 7, 2013. She was a very gracious, loving, mother, grandmother, and friend. Dianne was the portrait of a true lady who selflessly put the needs of others above herself. Her kind and gentle spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a dedicated teacher for 20 years and was loved by all of her students. Dianne was a lifelong and faithful member of the First Baptist Church of West Monroe, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rodney "Butch" Scarbrock; parents, Leon and Hazel Prestwood; and niece Lisa Prestwood.
She is survived by her children, Wayne M. Van, Jr. and wife Johnna, Troy D. Van, and Valerie Van Matherne; 4 grandchildren, Chandler Van, Matthew Matherne, Van David Matherne, and Ally Grace Matherne; brother, Mike Prestwood and wife Sharon; numerous nieces and nephews; and forever friend, Ann Johnston Dollar.
Pallbearers will be Jim Norris, Gary Perkins, Jon Dollar, Dewey Street, Johnny Plummer, and Jimmy Horne.
Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Monday, December 9, 2013 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
