Iva Chandler Pritcher

ARLINGTON -- Iva Chandler Pritcher, 91, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2011, joining her devoted husband of 67 years, Jacob Ralph Pritcher who died in 2006.

Graveside services will be held at 1:15 p.m., Monday, January 10, 2011, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Monday at Arlington Funeral Home, Arlington, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to one of the following, River Legacy Foundation in Arlington,

Pantego Christian Academy in Arlington and Northminster

Church of Monroe, Louisiana.

Iva was born in Clarendon County, South Carolina on December 20, 1919. She married Ralph on August 9, 1939. They lived for more than fifty years in Monroe, Louisiana before moving in 2002 to Arlington. Iva was a wonderful cook and found great joy in her grandchildren and great-grandchilren.

The family is most appreciative for the care she was given since September by the staff at Broadway Plaza at Pecan Park and in her final week by Seasons Hospice.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Lorena Chandler; brothers, Ryan and Ralph Chandler; and sisters, Millie Hall, and Dorothy Knight.

She is survived by, daughters, Sylvia Greene and husband Richard, Penny Joiner and husband Keith; son, Jay Pritcher and wife Barbara; grandchildren, Brian Greene and wife Tammy, Stacey Pfleger and husband David, Amy Vines and husband Greg, Amanda Saltzman and husband Andy, Aaron and Mason Pritcher; great-grandchildren, Andie Pfleger, Ashley Greene, Anna Leigh and A.J. Saltzman; siblings, Norma Baker, Florence Rogers and Keith Chandler and their families of South Carolina.
