In the early 1970s, my husband and I went with our realtor to see a house in Shreveport, LA., that had gone on the market that day. Ill never forget walking through the house and seeing pictures of people and places wed known all our lives from Ruston. I think one picture was my paternal great-grandmothers house!
Our realtor was not Fred and Anns realtor, I dont think she even knew their name. Were the pictures a sign? Maybe! We signed a contract that afternoon and over forty years later and still happily living at 1528 Carmel Dr., weve thought so many times about the hometown connection.
I know its hard to say goodbye to Ann, I lost my own mother last August, but as our memories grow more precious, we realize more than ever how the years pass so quickly and how important it is to have our memories.
