Lynda Huggins Obituary
Monroe - Funeral Services for Lynda Wood Huggins, 74, of Monroe, LA will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 13, 2018 at Graceminster Presbyterian Church in Monroe, LA with Rev. Bruce Rux officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Huggins was born on July 22, 1943 to the parents of Otis Emmitt and Mattie Flossie Wood. And passed away on July 9, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Otis Jr.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Jim Huggins; three sons, JJ, Jason and Jon; four grandchildren, Connor, Carmen, Courtney, and Justin; and two sisters, Wanda Teel and Norma Arant.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe, LA.
Memorials may be made to Graceminster Presbyterian Church or to the Adult Living Fund C/O Northeast Louisiana Autism Chapter, 24 Karen Lane Monroe, LA 71203.

Mr. Huggins, JJ, Jason and JonJon. I'm absolutely heartbroken to learn of her passing. For most all of my childhood your home was like a second home to me and she was like a second mom. I learned many of life's lessons over there, to this day I have never waxed another floor! I'll always remember her with love in my heart and a smile on my face. I'm grateful to have known her and consider myself better for it. I'm sending my love and prayers to y'all to make it through this trying time. I wish I had more,.. better words to express what a great lady she was, it seems hard to find them at this moment. Mr. Huggins, I wish I could be there and give you a big hug and tell you how much y'all both have meant to me, for now this'll have to do.

Jim, I am so sad about my friend Lynda Gay. We have been friends since grammar school and raised as one of the 'college' kids. My love and prayers are with you and your family . We are out of town till next Tuesday so not able to be there Friday.
