Rodney Salmon Obituary
Longview, TX - A memorial service for RODNEY LOUIS SALMON will be 3pm at North Monroe Baptist Church. Rodney was born in Fairbanks, Louisiana on May 30, 1928
and peacefully passed to heaven on June 22, 2018, at the age of 90 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Clinton W. and Tiny Rea Salmon, and his only sister, June Salmon Minor. He graduated from Marion High School in 1945 and from Louisiana Tech in 1948. He was employed by Interstate Oil and Pipe Line in Shreveport, before serving in The United States Air Force during the Korean War.
He then worked with Texaco Oil company as an account and auditor. Rodney was transferred to Fort Worth in 1958, where he met and married Nora Beth Fuller. The next year Texaco transferred them to Midland, where their two children, Michael and Deborah were born. Michael is married to Cyndi Taylor. They have two children, Clint, now married to Ashley, and Katie. Deborah is married to David Johnson, who is leading the memorial service. Their children are David A. Johnson and Christy, who is married to Chaney Vines. Christy and Chaney are the parents of Rod and Beth's Greats.

So sorry for the loss of your beloved Rodney. May God give your family and friends the strength necessary to cope with these difficult moments . Although death is always sad and painful , there's a wonderful promise that the day will come when we will no longer shed any tears from the sadness and pain death brings upon us. May these words give you comfort and peace of mind.
