Steven Busby Obituary
Funeral Services for Steven J. Busby, 66, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:30 P.M., Sunday, January 8, 2017 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA with Fr. Job Edathinatt Scaria officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA.
Mr. Busby was born October 9, 1950 and passed away January 4, 2017. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. Mr. Busby earned his Master's Degree from LA Tech and was a retired teacher from Bastrop High School.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Jean Busby; daughter, Katie Busby of Pensacola, FL; sisters, Carol Busby of Monroe, LA, and Marie Stewart and husband Lushen of Sarepta, LA; brother, David Busby and wife Nancy of Jonesboro, LA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Anderson, James Stewart, Chris Stewart, Jimmy Chandler, Heath White, Danny Courson and Keta Bell.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M., Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to the American Heart Association.
