Tommy Dorn Obituary
Memorial services celebrating the life of Tommy Lee Dorn, Sr., 84, of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday August 8, 2016 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Monroe, LA with Rev. Tim Neustifter officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul's Columbarium, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, LA
Mr. Dorn died August 5, 2016 at the Ouachita Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Monroe.
Mr. Dorn was a 32nd degree Mason, member of the Hejaz Shriners in South Carolina, and Woodman of the World. While in South Carolina he was a member of the Laurens Volunteer Fire Department and an Auxiliary Sheriff Deputy. Tommy retired from Davison Transportation, Inc. in Ruston where he received a national safety award with over 2,000,000 miles of safe highway travel.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Frances Roberts Dorn and his parents, Herbert Lee and Naomi Mullinax Dorn.
Survivors: his daughter and son-in-law, Ann Dorn and Craig Snyder and his granddaughter, Lauren Snyder of Miami, FL; and Son, Tommy Lee Dorn, Jr. and Ben Knight of Monroe, LA
Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until service time in the Parlor at St. Paul's.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
