Elizabeth Stafford Obituary

Elizabeth Alice Stokes Stafford, 34, of Toccoa, passed away November 6, 2025.
Born in Gainesville, Georgia, on August 29, 1991, Mrs. Stafford was the daughter of Gerald G. Stokes, Jr., and the late Helen VanDalsen Stokes. Elizabeth was a homemaker and a wonderful mother. She was also an animal lover, especially her dogs and cats. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Stafford is preceded in death by grandfather Gerald G. Stokes, Sr., and brother, Jason Robert Stokes.
Survivors include her father and stepmother, Gerald. G and Robin Stokes, of Clarkesville; husband, James Lee Stafford, of Toccoa; sons, Ryan Jason Stafford and James Lee Stafford, Jr., both of Toccoa; brother, Gerald G. Stokes III (Ashley), of Savannah; grandmother, Alice P. Stokes, of Americus; as well as extended family members.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Americus, Georgia. The family received friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 5-7 p.m.

Arrangements were in the care and professional direction of Hillside Memorial Chapel and Gardens, Clarkes-ville.
