Judy Schwobe Obituary
Oshkosh - Judy Ellen Schwobe, 69, of Oshkosh died peacefully on November 9, 2019 at Harbor Haven Health & Rehabilitation in Fond du Lac, WI after battling leukemia. She was born December 15, 1949. a daughter of Joseph F. Schwobe and Lorraine R. (Blahnik) Schwobe. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Judy graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1967.She joined the U.S. Women's Army Corp (WAC) in 1970 and served as a Medical Department Activity (MEDDAC) Supply Clerk Specialist. Her military stations included Ft. McClellan, AL, Ft. Jackson, SC, and Ft. Benjamin Harrison, IN. Judy was an active youth who tap danced, performed ballet, and played the accordion. She proudly marched in Oshkosh parades. Badminton was her outdoor game of choice. Throughout her life, she enjoyed listening to music. In her latter years, declining health did not deter her from hobbies of assorted hand crafts or maintaining a strong sense of humor and good spirits. She was known for her strong Christian faith and character.
Judy is survived by her two brothers, Joseph M. Schwobe, Carl (Christine) Schwobe, and a sister, Paula (David) Seiler, four nephews, Michael (Natalie) Schwobe, Joseph (Hailey) Schwobe, Josiah (Jessica) Seiler, James Schultz, and three nieces, Teshura (Brett) Stoddart, Katya (Jerry) Prell, Suzanne (James) Hiltz, two cousins, Doris McLane and Marian Snow, and several grandnephews and grandnieces.
A memorial service for Judy will be held on Wednesday November 20 at 2:00 PM in Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home (865 S Westhaven) with Rev. Tim Stringham officiating. Full Military Honors will follow conducted by The United Veterans Honor Guard-Amvets-7. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until the hour of services.

My sincere condolences to Judy's family. God has taken her way to soon. It was always a pleasure to visit with Judy at the lunch table at H.H. She was a room mate to my sister Gretchen. Judy was a kind, and gentle person. I enjoyed seeing her art work and sharing stories. Judy will be missed! My God Bless this special person in Heaven. May She Rest In Peace! There will never be another resident like you at Harbor Haven. You always lit up a room whenever you entered and had a heart of gold. We will miss your laugh, generosity, and pictures you would color for us. We miss you everyday.

Dear Family,
When I saw that Judy's table was no longer in its place, with her bears and other items, I sensed that she was no longer with us. When my mother was admitted to Harbor Haven, it was Judy who reached out to Mom and became a friend to her. Judy was a very caring, compassionate person, many times comforting other residents. She was also very funny, as she would tell me stories about her time in the WAC. Judy is now with her Lord; no more suffering, no more pain. My mother and I have been blessed to know Judy. Someday, we will meet again. Until then, I will always sense Judy's presence each time I go to visit my Mom, as I gaze upon the two teddy bears she gave to the staff. May the Lord give you His comfort, strength and peace.

Our dear, dear sister. She had a golden heart that was filled with sincere Faith and Love for our Lord, Jesus Christ. Her thoughtfulness, compassion, and generosity was given freely to all who knew her. She had a special fondness for animals, music, and arts&crafts. Judy was patriotic, comical, and kind. We love her very, very much and will deeply miss her until we are all reunited in the Kingdom of Heaven. Until then, my sister, until then.
