I too was blessed to have been a student of both Mrs Dalton at Emmeline Cook, and Mr. Dalton at OHS for math. Shining stars in the world of education - I'll never forget either of them! They inspired us all and made class fun. RIP Mr. Dalton.

Mr. Dalton was my Math IV Honors teacher during the 1971-72 school year. He was one of the best teachers I ever had. If memory serves me, we had his class at 7:30 a.m., but he was always cheerful and ready to go. We were a lively class--we helped him earn his education awards. We had plenty of ongoing jokes about "what good is (fill in the blank)?" The recurrent refrain became one of those indelible memories that accompany exceptional teaching. I am saddened to learn of his passing, but delighted to know he had a long retirement.
