Arthur E. Hicks

HICKS, ARTHUR E.; of Pontiac; died November 18, 2010; at the age of 83. Here yesterday, gone today. Arthur is survived by his loving children, Adrinne Errickso of MO, Sherry (Larry) Thick of Caro, Maryann McGhehey of WA, Stacy Hicks of Waterford, Allen (Lorraine) Wadley of Pontiac, Penny (Lyle) Smith of Fenton; cherished grandfather of 21, and dear great grandfather of 36. Arthur was preceded in death by his wife, Mary and granddaughter, Jennifer. Mr. Hicks was retired from The Oakland Press where he had been employed as a Type Setter. He was a proud veteran having served in the US Navy. Member of Marimont Baptist Church of Pontiac, MI. A Celebration of Arthur's Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at the HURON ST CHAPEL of Huntoon Funeral Home, 855 W. Huron St. (M-59) in Pontiac with Pastor Michael Elliot officiating. Interment will be at Ottawa Park Cemetery in Independence Twp. The family will receive friends from Noon until time of the service Sunday.
