JENKINSON, ARTHUR JACOB; of Waterford; July 3, 2011; age 88; born January 21, 1923, in Pontiac, MI. Son of the late Clarence and Grace Jenkinson; husband of the late Angeline K. Jenkinson; father of Janis Wilcox, Jim Jenkinson (Theresa) and David Jenkinson (Kathy); grandfather of Matthew Wilcox, Melissa Price (Chad), Jim Jenkinson (Becky), Scott Jenkinson (Jackie), Amanda Everett (Steve), Keaton Jenkinson, Jacob Jenkinson and Cassandra Jenkinson; great grandfather of 11. Predeceased by 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Mr. Jenkinson was a retired stock chief at G.M.T.& B. With over 40 years of service and a W.W.II navy veteran. Arthur was the captain of the football team at St. Mikes. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. Arthur was a member of St. Perpetua Catholic Church where he will Lie in State Thursday, July 7, 2011, 10 a.m. until time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Jack H. Baker celebrant. Rite of Committal with Honors to follow at All Saints Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Donelson, Johns and Evans Funeral Home, Waterford, Wednesday 3 to 5:30 and 7 to 9 p.m. Rosary 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Lourdes because of the excellent care that he was given.
