I am your neighbor and just heard of Deans passing. I thought about you all day and saw the neighbors cleaning your drive yesterday to help just a little. Although I never met you or Dean or your family my thoughts and prayers are with your family for such a tragic loss of a young life.

Your infectious laugh and ever-present smile couldn't hide the fierce competitor you were every time you played for the Brewers. You came as a pitcher this year but with your clutch hits and fearless slide into home you left a legacy as an all around star. Everyone who knows you will miss you. Dean and I became friends in 1981 our Sophomore year. I have loved him like a brother since. He was selfless and very fun. We went on our Senior trip together. I saw him play baseball here in Fl. Just 2 months ago. I am very sad for our loss he was a good man. My prayers are with his family at this time.

I saw Dean a few times after Christmas.. We shared stories about ours kids and our families.. He told me that making a hockey rink in his back yard for his kids was something he really enjoyed doing.. He will be missed..
