Joyce E. Hillert

1931 - 2021

HILLERT, JOYCE E. of Waterford, passed away July 1, 2021 at 89 years of age. She was born December 13, 1931 in Saginaw to Alfred and Lula (nee Brown) Hillert. Preceded in death by her siblings, Alfred, Gerald, and Audrey Hillert, and Peggy Hillert Cope; lifelong partner and companion of Clarice "Jeff" Jeffries; dear aunt of Judith (Vernon) Scacci; the late David (Debbie) Hillert, and Marcus (Kristina) Cope. Joyce attended Western Michigan University and Michigan State University. She enjoyed many facets of life, among them working with the mentally challenged, secretarial, entrepreneurship (Waterford Resale Shop), and never hesitated to work entry level when necessary. Her interest in many things found her an avid reader and a traveler around the United States. She enjoyed a collection of movies and music; needle crafts; corresponding with friends; writing poetry and manuscripts. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Waterford. Her faith began greeting the Lord in the morning, praising HIM during the day, and trusting HIS watch at night. Funeral service will be Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 1 p.m. at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD. Family will receive friends Saturday 11 a.m. until time of service.
