Lila Patricia Tiritilli

Lila Patricia Tiritilli, a current resident of Troy, Michigan, formerly of Goodyear, Arizona and Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, passed away on January 18, 2024, at the age of 87 years. Lila was born in Chicago, Illinois, on January 14, 1937, the second of three daughters of the late Archibald Louis Francis and Julia Mae Havel Francis. Lila graduated from Smyrna, Tennessee's Smyrna High School. She also studied marketing at the Los Angeles Trade Technical School and metallurgy at Pasadena City College. She completed the John Powers Modeling course in 1965 – 1966 and the Dale Carnegie course in 1966. Lila was a career girl during the 1970's, working in sales at Michigan Wire & Cloth, and as an executive assistant at Cogsgill Dill Tool. Lila was proud to build a family business, becoming President of Great Lake Tank & Lining and Vice President of Great Lakes Power from 1982 – 1987. During the 1990's she was a loan officer for Charter Financial. Lila found love later in life. "I hear we are neighbors," Lila said to Phil Tiritilli, and he was smitten. The two were inseparable, dating for twenty-six years and being married for ten. Lila enjoyed painting, golf, and cycling. She loved to travel, especially to California to visit family. A glass of white zinfandel and a bowl of Spumoni ice cream were favorite treats. Lila is survived by her husband Phillip Tiritilli, sister Penelope May (Ralph) Failor, daughters Delora Jean Quinn, Cynthia Jones, Juliana (Jeffery) Kass, granddaughter Elaina Kass, son Carl (Amanda) Mitchell, granddaughter Heidi Mitchell, stepdaughter Holly (Stephen) Weberman and stepson Brad Tiritilli. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2024, 1 p.m. at the Potere-Modetz Funeral Home, 339 Walnut Blvd. Rochester, the family will receive friends on Wednesday 11 a.m. until time of service.
