To Bill and Ann
Just having found out about Bill´s passing, is a huge disappointment! We served together in Korea and at Fort ORD. Last time I saw you both, my father-in-law Col. Jim Chappell took us out on Monterey bay, sailing. Bill was always great to be around, professional and kind hearted. It´s great to hear that he accomplished so much and contributed so much to his community and veterans. I recently lost another friend who helped establish the Army museum in Virginia.
God Bless Bill Ann and his family.

Col. Hatch was my first unit commander in the Air Cav at Ft. Ord in 1980. He was an incredibly fair and compassionate leader. He treated all of his men with honor and respect. I remember him with great admiration. May he rest in peace.

Ann and Family
You and Bill we for me when Chuck passed away in October of 2014, and Bill was able to get a US Army funeral detail to perform the military service that Chuck had wanted. It meant a lot to myself, his children and his military friends that this was done.
My wish is that we all continue to honor Bill's service to his country, family, and his community, by continuing his legacy of service in our daily lives.
He stood tall and represented the best.
Affectionately
Betty
