ASHLEY, Margaret Kay “Maggie”; age 78; of Punta Gorda, FL, formerly of Fenton, MI; passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015 in Port Charlotte, FL. A memorial service celebrating Maggie’s life will be held at 12 Noon Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, MI. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.until the time of service. Burial will follow the service at Lakeside Cemetery, 860 Thomas St., Holly, MI. Maggie was born in Kalamazoo, MI on July 18, 1936 and lived most of her life in the Oakland County, MI area. She held numerous positions at Numatics, Inc., in Highland, MI and retired from there in 1998. She enjoyed reading, painting and most of all, her family. Maggie was a loving and supportive mother to her daughters Judy Skura and Tammy Ashley of Suffolk, VA, and Cindy Ritchey of Punta Gorda, FL. She took great pride in and enjoyed her 6 grandchildren and her 13 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, William (Bill) Ashley, and her mother, Margaret R. Cahill.
