MaryBeth Toomey Obituary

MaryBeth Toomey, died December 30, 2019. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Beth. She was born October 23, 1948. She is survived by sisters Betty Ann Varon, Eileen Mulligan, brother Tim Toomey and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her beloved horses Rosie, Mister and Bob and her faithful dog and companion Jackie. Mary Beth lived and worked at Ivory Farm in White Lake Township for more than 20 years. She will be sorely missed by her “barn family’ and all of their horses. She gave special attention to each and every horse every single day. She loved horses and had very special relationships with the boarders, their horses and many people in the Equine community. She was an accomplished Equine artist and was very well respected for her immense knowledge of caring for and treating horses. She was extremely lucky to spend the last years of her life doing what she absolutely loved. It was truly a life well lived. A memorial celebration will be held in Michigan this spring, date pending. Contributions, in her memory, for the care of her horses can be made by contacting: [email protected]">[email protected]">[email protected]">[email protected]

I was looking up some of her artwork and found that she has passed. I met her in Michigan when I bought a few of her horse prints. They are from 1997. She truly had a way of capturing the essence of her horses. Belated prayers to her family...

Mary Beth has a special place in my heart. She worked at my Starmount Lipizzan Stable for many years, helping me to care for, breed, and train horses every day. She truly was an amazing woman who loved all animals and helped to rescue swans, ducks dogs, cats, and horses. She was extremely special to all of us who knew her and loved her!

MB,
I am really missing you. Even though we didn't talk every day, we had been closer the past year than ever! You always amazed me with your knowledge of so many topics. I learned something new every time we spoke. I know you're with Mom, Dad and Barb with no more pain. Although it's hard I know you're all at peace.
Love and miss you forever.

Marybeth I will miss our almost nightly phone chats. Your barn family is taking very good care of your horses and you would be so happy to know that Jackie and the birds all have good homes. Im getting to know your barn family and it warms my heart to know how well respected and truly loved you were!
I know you were getting tired but kept pushing thru. Im at peace knowing you can finally rest. I love you❤❤

Mary Beth was such a huge part of my horses lives, between taking my old ones and helping me with my mare. She is missed by me and my horses more than you can imagine. What a huge heart and soul she has. Love you, please rest peacefully.

I am the proud owner of six of Mary Beth's equine art works. Kindness and love for the animals was her style and she performed all with grace.
