My sincere condolences! I have very fond memories of Mike during our year in Vietnam...always positive, helpful and cheerful inspite of the frequent challenges: one of my very favorite people in our very special surveyors group!

I met Mike while I was working at GM Truck & Bus in the 70's. I loved his sense of humor, and we shared many laughs together. We also shared memories of Pershing High school and other neighborhood stories. He was always there for me in my career, and his advice helped me make some major life decisions. God Bless You Mikey ~ You will be missed. Heaven has another angel...

Mike was beloved by his fellow drafting trainees early in his career at G.M. It was a pleasure to work with him during those years. I am sure that his overall contribution to G.M. was significant even though our paths did not cross in the later years. He was a good man.

Hope, I wish I had the words to comfort you and your children thru this trying time. Mike was a good friend. I'm glad I served with him in Vietnam. And I'm especially glad I was able to spend time with Mike and his family. I've prayed the rosary many times and prayed to Padre Pio for a peaceful end to Mike's pain. The Covid is keeping me away from his service but my thoughts and prayers will always be with you. God bless you and your family Hope. I'll miss you brother.

Hard to imagine our friendship from Greenfield Park school would last 70 years. Still remember walking home from school with Mike. Grateful we reconnected eight years ago at a Pershing event and able to often share many stories, memories, exchange emails and meet up since that time. Will miss Mike and the interesting conversations and the laughter he generated. Thanks for being my friend.

I met Mike at General Motors when I transferred to Truck Eng in 1995. Mike was a very kind and generous person. He was very helpful to me and made my transition to Truck Eng go very smoothly. Mike enjoyed life and the people around him. One thing I remember of Mike was his hearty laughter, it always made me smile.

Dear Hope - we are sending our heartfelt condolences to you and your family. We both worked with Mike at Chevrolet in the detailing group.
We will never forget his famous Saturday morning query:
“Fish or Shish?” .
(He would take lunch orders for takeout at one of the local Greek restaurants).
Mike was a special guy who will be greatly missed.

I want to offer my condolences to Hope, his children, family and friends and also his fellow soldiers from the 6/29 ARTY. Our time in Vietnam was but the blink of an eye compared to our life span, but it left a life long impression in our minds. Young men from every corner of the U.S. A. were brought together and learned to live and work toward a gommon goal with total strangers that led to life long associations.
Mike's time on earth is finisher, but his legacy will live on.
Diane and I enjoyed being with Hope and Mike and all the group at the two reunions we attended - Nashville and San Antonio. We are grateful for the time we got to spend together.
Love and Prayers - Diane and Ted Dieumegard

Mike was one of those guys who you instantly became friends with. Although our paths had crossed a couple of times before he became a regular in our Wednesday golf group, we became golf partners and friends. Mike also got me involved in a bowling league as well. There was nothing that we couldn't talk about and for the most part agreed on. Mike enjoyed poker and invited several friends over to play. Our last game was on 12/15/20. Mike won. The one thing Mike talked most about was love of family. His wife Hope, his sons Brian and Jason and his daughter Jennifer. I wanted Mike to adopt me so he'd pay for my golf. I miss you already buddy.

Mike was a great friend and will be sorely missed. Mike and I both served in Vietnam together in the Survey section of the 6/29 Artillery assigned to the 4th Infantry Division. We both made it into Steve Stark’s book November Two Two Charlie. My wife, Kathy and I were fortunate to make a trip in October, 2021 to visit with Mike and Hope. RIP brother

My deepest condolences to Hope and the rest of Mike’s family. It was a pleasure to have met Mike at Dakto. I have had the honor to call him my friend for many years. He became excited once in awhile, like when someone turned on the lights in his end of the bunker and shot up the wooden trash box because there was a rat in it. I’ll leave that persons name out to protect the guilty.
