Michael Thomas O'Brien

1941 - 2018

O'Brien, Michael Thomas a resident of Warrior, Alabama, was born in Pontiac, Michigan on November 27, 1941 and he passed away peacefully in Birmingham, Alabama on February 6, 2018 at the age of 76. Michael received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Spring Arbor University in Detroit, Michigan. He retired from General Motors after 37 years of service and moved to Florida were he resided for 15 years and then moved to Warrior, Alabama. He was a loving family man and enjoyed the time he was able to spend with his family. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Edna O'Brien and a sister, Judith Ann O'Brien. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Margurett Annette Hicks O'Brien, three sons, David O'Brien, Kirk O'Brien, and Douglas O'Brien (Teresa); a daughter, Margaret Braun (Todd); a brother, Gilbert "Bud" O'Brien III (Tammy); two sisters, Mary Lynn Wilcox (Jim) and Kathleen Gage (Larry); twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren, many other family members and a host of friends. A Celebration of Life visitation will be held at Huntoon Funeral Home, 855 W. Huron Street, Pontiac, MI 48341 on Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
