Peggy McClelland O'Dean, 58, of Metamora formerly of Mendota, IL, died Sunday November 21, 2021. She was born March 21, 1963 in Mansfield, OH to parents Robert and Margaret (Stone) McClelland. Peggy married Jeffrey E. O'Dean on April 18, 1998 in Chicago, IL. Mrs. O'Dean was a labor and delivery nurse practitioner for 35 years, a true labor of love. She was a loving wife, caring mother, amazing advocate and supporter, brilliant nurse, amazing cook, master gardener, ultimate sports mom, dog lover, true friend and confidant. Peggy loved time in northern Michigan and her time involved as the Flint Chapter leader for the International Multiple Myeloma Foundation. She was an all-around super hero! Mrs. O'Dean is survived by her husband of 23 years: Jeffrey, children: Kelly & Colin O'Dean, mother: Ann McClelland, sister: Sarah (Michael) Orr of Ashland, MA and father-in-law: Gerald O'Dean. She was preceded in death by her father: Robert McClelland and mother-in-law: Shirley O'Dean. The family has entrusted Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer with cremation. A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday December 4, 2021 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Davison at 11 a.m. Arrive anytime after 10 a.m. the day of the Mass Memorial. Peggy was much appreciated as our Flint area multiple myeloma support group leader. She shared the benefit of her knowledge and experience with her fellow myeloma patients. Condolences to her family.
