BERY, PHYLLIS M.; of Clarkston; suddenly June 29, 2013; at age 76. Beloved wife of Leslie Bery for 44 years; dear sister of Norman (Theresa) Gladych; aunt of Katherine and Yvonne Machniak, and Christine Gladych. Phyllis was a nursing instructor at Macomb Community College. She was a member of St. Daniels Catholic Church, 7010 Valley Park Dr., Clarkston, where her Funeral Mass will be held Friday, July 5, 2013, 10 a.m. Burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 3, 4 to 8 p.m. at COATS FUNERAL HOME- CLARKSTON, 8909 Dixie Hwy. To send a condolence go to

Condolences to the family of Phyllis. She accomplished much in her nursing field. She was my first "patient" in our nursing arts class learning how to make a bed w/ the patient in it.
