My condolences and prayers to the family. When we were relocated first to MO and then to Western NY , we had a difficult time finding a church home. I had to resign myself to the fact that there was only one Dr. Robert E. Bailey and one TMB church for me, so I had to stop comparing. He was a giant of a preacher and a teacher. We returned to TMB church for him to christen our son. He was certainly the shepherd who knew his flock. He will truly be missed.

Heartfelt condolences are extended to the family of Dr. Bailey. He, Mrs. Bailey and first family were our "Camelot." Keen insight, strong leadership and a true proponent of Christian education - under his tutelage I learned so much and grew in my Christian walk. Grateful for the opportunity to serve over 15 years as secretary of Ministry of Christian Education and in Trinity's progressive African American History & Culture Center. Blessed to have called him my pastor.

Praying for the entire Bailey family. Dr. Bailey was my first pastor and truly a spiritual mentor. He helped to shape me as a Christian and helped me see that through Christ all things are possible. And that we love God, because He first loved us. May he rest in peace as he experiences the Love of God in a way that being in His presence can only provide. Peace and light, love and life to all who knew him.

To the late Dr. Robert E. Bailey I family - May God continue to comfort and strengthen you during this time. Words are inadequate to express our deepest sympathy to the Bailey family; and we share in your great loss.

We are blessed and privileged to have been members under his pastoral leadership for over 10 years at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, but more for his sound Biblical teaching, preaching of God's Word and his astute ability to assess the needs of his congregation. His leadership was exemplary, and he held God's people to the highest standard in teaching us to do everything decently and in order; and to do it God's way. May God bless and comfort the family in years to come. Love & Blessings!

Dr. Bailey will always live in my heart. I am more than glad to have met a "giant" of a man who has shaped my life in the ministry. I am who I am today because of him. I am very glad to still call him my Pastor as I have always done since moving from Pontiac. The ministry of God needs more "Robert Baileys." He will go down in history as one of God's best preachers, one of God's best Pastors, and one of God's best Persons. He was a GOOD Man! May God bless his family.
