Anna LeRoy
June 5, 1925 - January 20, 2021
Lacey, Washington - Anna LeRoy passed away peacefully on January 20, 2021 at Meridian Care Home in Lacey. Anna was born on June 5, 1925 to Andy and Nora Nystrom in Olympia. She attended Collins School and graduated from Olympia High School in 1941. After high school, Anna graduated from Dietz Business College in Olympia and attended the University of Washington for one year. She was employed for 37 years as Payroll Officer for the Department of Labor & Industries, retiring in 1981.
Anna was a lifelong, active member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church joining in 1947. She married James in 1954. James passed away in 1984.
After retirement, Anna enjoyed many years of travel with her friends. Travels included the Scandanavian countries, Switzerland, Germany, Russia, China, Australia and the Holy Lands. She also travelled throughout the United States and took many cruises.
In addition to her parents and James, she was preceded in death by her two brothers and sisters-in-law, Al & Alva and Jake & Margaret. She is survived by her nieces Carla (Dan) Nystrom and Susan (Kevin) Gordham.
Special thanks to Meridian Care Home for the loving care they provided her over the past few years.
She will be laid to rest at Pioneer Cemetary in Lacey.
