Arlene Baughman Obituary

Arlene Joyce Baughman, 72, a resident of Yelm, went to be with the Lord on December 25, 2003. She was born on February 28, 1931, in Vancouver, Wash., to Edward and Marie Rohrbach.She married Lee Baughman on August 27, 1960, and moved to Yelm in 1983. Arlene is survived by her husband, Lee; daughter, Kristi Boe (Doug); and granddaughter Holly, all of Yelm; two stepdaughters, Linda Buell (Ralph), Cindy Bowen (Sam); and several step-grandchildren; a sister Lea Vest, of Puyallup; and brother, Charles Rohrbach of Spokane. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Ronald Averill Rohrbach, and sister, Mona Looper.Before retiring, Arlene was a long time federal worker. She was employed by the IRS, U.S. Navy, and at the end of her career, she was a supervisor for the Transportation Department at Ft. Lewis. After retiring, Arlene spent many years managing the Lodge at Lake Lawrence.Arlene touched many people, all who will miss her for her huge heart, her love to laugh, and her beautiful smile.A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, January 2, 2004, at 1:00 p.m., at the Lodge at Lake Lawrence, in Yelm.Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home 253-584-0252.
