Chad Clarkson Obituary

Chad S. Clarkson Chad passed away on October 6, 2013 in Seattle, Washington. He was 44 years old. He was born on June 28, 1969 in Spokane, Washington. He was the chosen Son of Agnes I. Alston Clarkson and Virgil S. Clarkson through adoption. Chad was raised in Olympia, WA and graduated from Capital High School, in June of 1987. He studied at South Puget Sound Community College in Olympia, and shortly thereafter moved to Seattle to attend a performing arts school. Chad interest was in the performing arts, singing and especially writing plays for the stage. Chad's Mother, Agnes I Clarkson, preceded him in death, on August 30, 1992. His father, Virgil S. Clarkson, married Barbara Huggins in November 1989. Chad has 2 sisters, Ellen I. Clarkson, of Seattle, Cassandra Jones, PhD, Charlotte NC; and three step-sisters, Laura Huggins, Monica Huggins and Nina Huggins Irving all of Kent WA.; nephew, Rosario Parascondola, Yelm WA; his uncle, Dr. Llayron Clarkson, Houston TX; cousin, Pamela Clarkson, state of MD; and cousin Llayron Clarkson III, Houston TX. Chad worked for Graham & Dunn Law Firm over 10 years until his passing. (He was most happy working at this firm.) Chad was never married, but had a host of friends from high school, work and the performing arts. Chad had 14 years of Community Theater in the Olympia area and 3 years of Professional Theater in the Seattle area at the Alice B. Theater. His biggest asset was his smile and pleasant attitude. Chad traveled both in the U.S. and abroad. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Memorial Services held on Saturday November 16 at 10:30 am at St Andrew's United Methodist Church, 540 School St. SE, Lacey, WA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Chad Clarkson's name to: South Puget Sound Community College, Foundation Performing Arts Program- Olympia, WA.
