Dave Faris

David McCall Faris Dave went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 10, 2012 at his home in Olympia, WA. He was born August 31, 1937 to Harry and Wilma Faris. Dave spent his childhood in the Kooskia, ID area starting on a 400 acre tree ranch making poles and fence posts and helping his father in the woods. Dave married his high school sweetheart, Nola Bunnel on March 17, 1957. Dave started working road construction in 1956 where he spent the next 20 years. Dave and family moved to Olympia in 1976 and Dave began working at Centralia Cole Mine where he later retired in 1997. Since retirement, Dave has spent many hours doing odd jobs including backhoe work and church maintenance. Dave was a loving husband, father and provider for his family and was always willing to assist anyone in need. Dave is preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Faris and father, Harry Faris. Dave is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nola Faris; sister Jan Grove; children Brian and Danna; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He will be loved and missed forever by all that knew him. There will be a Memorial Service on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Capital Vision Christian Church located at 1775 Yew Avenue NE, Olympia Wa 98506. Donations in lieu of flowers and gifts can be made in his honor to the charity of your choice.
