Douglas Morton Obituary

Douglas Earl Morton, 70, died on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at PeaceHealth Longview Hospice. He was born in Longview, Washington to Florence (Backman) and Allen Morton on 22 April 1955. The family moved to the Tacoma/Lakewood area where he attended elementary school and then to Lacey. He attended Timberline High School.

On May 17, 2025, he married his partner of 40 years Debbie (Chalker) Barr.

He was preceded in death by his mother Florence Winbeckler, brother Dennis Morton, and stepsons Eric Lusk and Jason Barr and, the mother of his children Debra Large. He is survived by his wife Debbie Morton, his father Al (Sharon) Morton, daughters Tiffany and Vanessa Morton, son Matt (Dawn) Morton, stepson Jesse Barr, grandchildren Chandler, Jesse, Kiara, Kaden, Hadley, Kameron, Kassen, Braden, Madison; Jaiden, Chloe, Ashtyn, great granddaughter Adilyn Barr; and his brothers Jason (Phyllis) Morton and Shane (Tawny) Morton, and sisters Annette Hampson and Sheila Morton.

A Celebration of Life will be held November 29th, at 2 p.m., Living Waters Christian Fellowship, 525 3rd Ave. S.W., Castle Rock, Washington 98611. A potluck will follow. Please bring your favorite dish.
