Ed Hensley Obituary

Ed Hensley
March 27, 1935 - April 1, 2022
Tumwater, Washington - On April 1st Ed Hensley told his lifelong wife Bonnie how much he loved her, then late that evening of their 65th anniversary went to be with Jesus. Ed brought his wife and three sons to Lacey in 1968 where he worked very hard and raised his family as a service manager at the area Firestone, Wigwam department store manager, employee co-owner of the Lacey Co-Ply, and together with Bonnie were successful realtors for 20+ years. He served the Lord at several area churches, rode motorcycles with the Christian Motorcycles Association, enjoyed warm winters in Arizona and church missions service trips to Mexico and Australia. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Edwin Garner and Verna Belle, and his son Rich. He is survived by his wife Bonnie, brother Vernon and wife Betty, sons Chuck and Fred, daughters-in-law Melody, Janet and Monica, six grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. His wit, wisdom, love for Jesus, and can-do attitude will be greatly missed until we see him again. A short graveside service at noon Saturday, April 9th at the Mills & Mills cemetery in Tumwater.
