Elda Megiveron Obituary

Elda passed away January 11th, 2002. She was born October 30, 1914, in Musselshell County Montana, the eldest of 5 daughters born to Emily (Beyerle) and Orville Bellis. Her family moved to Washington in 1923, then settled in the South Bay home in 1933.Elda graduated from Tenino High School. She was married to George Lindenau in 1934, and had two children, Eldon and Arda. She later married Walter Greene in 1967, and Stanley Megiveron in 1973.Elda retired from Barnes Floral in Olympia in 1976. Prior to her retirement, she had worked at the Olympia Cannery, the Grays Harbor Veneer plant, and several restaurants in Olympia, Hoquiam and Sekui. Her greatest loves were growing her garden, planting flowers, and being with her family.She was preceded in death by her daughter, Arda; her sisters, Verona "Billie" and Lorraine; and her husbands, George, Walt, and Stan.Elda is survived by her son, Eldon Lindenau; daughter-in-law Vivian; and granddaughter, Theresa, of the family home in Olympia; grandchildren, Ken Lindenau and Karen Vargas of Taos, New Mexico, and Danella Holmes of Olympia; her son-in-law Gary Glandon of Montesano; grandson, Andrew Glandon of North Bend, Wash; and grandaughter, Lindee (Glandon) Bly of Evergreen, Colorado; her sisters, Ada Hudson of Olympia and Marilyn "Bobbie" Kinder, Oregon. She is also survived by 4 step-children of the Greene family, and 4 step-children of the Megiveron family. Also, many nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren, and great grandchildren.Donations may be made to Arda Glandon Scholarship Fund c/o Montesano High School, 303 N. Church St., Montesano, WA 98563, (360) 249-4041.The memorial service is to be held Thursday, January 17th, at 11:00 a.m. at the Olympic Memorial Funeral Home, 5725 Littlerock Rd SW, Tumwater, WA 98502. (360) 357-4404. A Graveside service will follow.
