Fay Hansen Obituary

Fay A. Hansen Fay A. Hansen passed away March 2, 2018 in Lacey, WA, and is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born May 22, 1938 to Viggo and Margaret (McLean) Hansen in Olympia, WA. A 35-year resident of Kirkland, WA, Fay graduated from Lake Washington High School (Class of 1956), and University of Washington (Class of 1972). She taught third and fourth grades in Monroe Washington Public Schools from 1973 to 2009. She was a 30-year member of Overlake Christian Church in Kirkland. Fay lived life to its fullest. She enjoyed extensive travel around the world, going to the theater in Seattle, and reading books. She loved flower gardening and enjoyed her extensive flower beds at home. She enjoyed her coffee, and meals with family and friends. She also enjoyed attending Seattle Seahawks and UW Husky football games. Fay is survived by her nephew, Robert Dickey (wife, Nan) of Montesano, WA; niece, Diane Kay of Louisville, KY; great nieces, Kristin Dickey of Brooklyn, NY, and Laci Roberts (husband, Jay) of Tomboll, TX; and sister, Kay Dickey of Centralia, WA. Her parents predeceased her. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Masonic Memorial Park, 455 North St. SE, Tumwater, WA 98501, followed by a celebration of life at noon at South Sound Manor.
