Florentina G. Malit

November 25, 1911 -- April 6, 2004Born in Zamboanga, Philippines, Florentina lived in Imus, Cavite, Philippines before coming to Olympia in 1985. She enjoyed flowers and tending the house for her two sons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Narciso C. Malit, a U.S. Scout Veteran; and 2 daughters, Nenita Malit Manalaysay (Antonio) and Rosalina Malit Cayabyab (Nicandro). She is survived by 2 sisters, Natividad Alejandro, of Maryland, and Loreta Orendain, of the Philippines; 6 children, Narciso Jr. (Flora), of California, Bienvenido (Fe) and Edilberto (Norma), of the Philippines, Estela Nocerino (Charles), of Florida, and Rolando and Amante, of Olympia; and numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews. Viewing will be at Woodlawn Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 13, 2004, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at 10:00 a.m., preceded by a Rosary at 9:30 a.m.
