John Hineline Obituary

John B. Hineline, 82, a resident of Lacey, Wash. for 30 years, died due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Thursday, September 12, 2002.He was born August 11, 1920 in Minneapolis, Minn. to Harold and Dorothy Hineline. He graduated from West High School Minneapolis in 1938. He served in WWII as a Navy Pilot flying Corsairs. He was honorably discharged in December of 1945. He retired from Alco Controls in 1986. He was a member of the Meydenbauer Bay Yacht Club, Bellevue Power Squadron and enjoyed boating for many years. He was a Charter season ticket holder with the Seattle Seahawks and was a dedicated fan. At the age of 59, he developed a passion for motorcycle riding and joined the Gold Wing Road Rider's Association Chapter I. He participated in many charity rides along with District rallies and various other functions. He will be remembered and loved by many for years to come.He was preceded in death by his wife Ritamay; sister, Harriet Libby; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Stover.John is survived by a sister, Louisa Freidland; sons, Scott (Bobbi) and Greg (Margie); daughters, Sharryl (Tom), Valerie (Bob), and Victoria Stover; grandchildren, Christopher, Eric, Stefanie, Trevor, Erin, and one great grandson, Nathan.A memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20th at Olympic Funeral Home. Donations can be made to GWRRA Chapter I, care of Jesse Valentine PO Box 704, Rochester, Wash. 98579, for cancer research.
