Kimberly Weidman

1962 - 2025

Kimberly Kay (Spalding) Weidman, beloved wife, aunt, mother, and grandmother, passed away unexpectantly on August 17 at Swedish Cherry Hill in Seattle.

Kim was born on February 11, 1962, to Leon (Joe) Spalding and Bonnie (Womack) Spalding, both preceding her death, in Centralia Washington. Kim was raised in Bucoda where she attended Tenino High School. After school, she soon began raising her family. After raising her kids, Kim met the love of her life John Weidman and moved to Pennsylvania for a short time before moving back to Tenino, where they continued their 20-year marriage. This is also when Kim started her long career with Labor and Industries, working her way up to a Claims Unit Supervisor. Kim loved her work family and many thought of her as an important piece of their life, as she always made everyone feel warm and welcomed.

Outside of work, Kim enjoyed cooking, baking, watching her Lifetime movies, and her frequent shopping trips to Wal-Mart. But her true love and joy was being with her family. Family was everything to Kim and she was devoted to making it to as many of her grandkids' events as possible. She was often known as the grandma with all the goodies and known to cheer all the kids on. Kim's house was often the meeting point for family gatherings and game nights, as she always had open arms for all.

Kim is survived by her husband John Weidman, her 2 children, Joe Gonia (wife Lindsey), and Sarah Breedlove (husband Matt), her 5 grandchildren, Taylor Gonia, Sydney Copstead, Kristian Copstead, Austin Gonia, and Kylie Gonia, and her 4 siblings, Ron Spalding, Mike Spalding, Geraldine Spalding, Debra Thornily, and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 20th at the Tenino Quarry House starting at 1:00 p.m.
