Patrick Henson Obituary

Patrick Dale Henson

Pat "The Mailman" Henson, beloved son, father, boyfriend, brother, nephew, cousin, and grandson, passed away suddenly on November 5, 2010. He was born in Tacoma, WA on November 13, 1982 to Vernon and Bette (Palmer) Henson, as their precious miracle. He loved his life in and around Olympia, and was a graduate of Tumwater High School and Centralia Community College.
Pat was a fun loving, free-spirited friend to all. He will be remembered for his bright smile and infectious laugh. He loved to go four wheeling with friends at the Oregon Sand Dunes, and even tried skydiving. He enjoyed working on projects like his 2002 Chevy Camaro. He delivered mail throughout the city, but was especially loved and will be missed by friends on his downtown route.
Pat was a championship bowler who competed in leagues from the age of 12. At 16, he bowled his first 300 game in a state tournament. He went on to bowl in leagues with his father and his friends and continued to win tournaments around the state.
Pat was preceded in death by his twin sisters Diana and Deborah, brother Christopher, and sister Pamela. He is survived by his parents, brother Michael, one year old son Kaeden, girlfriend Jena Brocious, grandmother Wasalea Henson of Homedale, ID, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, November 14 at Mills and Mills, 5725 Littlerock Rd. SW in Tumwater, with a viewing from 10:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. and funeral service at 2:00 p.m., followed by a reception at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the Lacey paramedics and the St. Peter's Hospital Emergency Room staff for doing all they could to save Pat. Donations may be made in the name of Kaeden Henson to the Olympia Credit Union, PO Box 7549, Olympia, WA 98507.

Vern I am so sorry I just heard. I cannot find the right words to express my sorrow for you. I will keep you in my prayers.

November 15, 2010

I met Pat only a couple of times a few years ago while subbing at the downtown post office. He came and rescued me from the dark on a route that I had never been on and happily helped me deliver mail until 9pm at night. I think I may have also had the pleasure of bowling with Pat 10+years ago. In the brief moments that I met him I could feel he had such a strong spirit. The good ones are always taken so soon. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and his precious son. ~Tonya

I used to tell Pat he was my brother from another mother. Pat was a friend at work, at the bowling alley and always. He would do anything to help and just to talk to him I would feel at ease no matter the subject. I love ya man and always will in my heart and soul. Pat will be missed but never forgotten!

The bible says that there is a time for everything but, this does not feel like the right time to be saying goodbye to such an amazing person. Pat, you will be missed by everyone whose life you impacted so greatly, our only comfort comes in knowing we will see you again someday in heaven. Rest in peace. Our prayers are with your family.
