To the Giffin family, I send my condolences. I felt as a comrade in arms with Bob and will miss him. I enjoyed our work together and the lunches he and Freda invited me to. I also enjoyed meeting them at Veteran's ceremonies throughout the years. Colonel (Retired) Garth Holmes

Our hearts go out to Freda and the Giffin family. These past few years have been a long and difficult journey. All his friends in the Olympia Area Chapter, MOAA, miss him very much.
Mark and Janet Foutch
P.S.: For students of history, a month after Bob arrived in Seoul, the North Korean Army invaded the South. Both the Giffins performed important roles in saving our people there.
