Ruby Koppelman

Ruby Etta Lee Koppelman Ruby Etta Lee Koppelman passed away peacefully on February 2, 2013 at the age of 84. She was born in New York City and lived in Olympia since 1999. She was loved and cherished by her children, Andy, Nancy, Kitty, and Margaret, by her grandchildren, Rachel, Miles, Rosie, Aryeh, Tali, Leo, Gina, and Emme, by her extended family, and by friends from coast to coast. She was a fine and talented artist and, for nearly thirty years, a dedicated art therapist. When she moved to Olympia, she became a devoted volunteer at PFLAG, Safeplace and Behavioral Health Resources, and a regular contributor to countless local, national, and international non-profit organizations. A memorial service will be held at Temple Beth Hatfiloh on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please contribute in Ruby's name to Safeplace, Behavioral Health Resources, or Stonewall Youth.
