Sheri Keith Obituary

Sheri Pearl Keith died January 22, 2008 in Thurston County. Sheri was born in Enfield, Connecticut on March 15, 1966. She grew up in Manchester, Connecticut, where she went on to attend the University of Connecticut before marrying now ex-husband Mark Keith. Sheri supported Mark's military career, traveling the world and raising their three children, Nicholas, Tanya and Lindsay. Sheri devoted herself to numerous humanitarian causes in the military and in civilian life. While in Korea, she volunteered in an orphanage, and while Mark was stationed at Fort Lewis she was honored with the Mary E. Walker Award that is presented to an outstanding military spouse for demonstrating dedicated and exemplary volunteerism that improved the quality of life for soldiers and their families. Most recently she was volunteering for the Thurston County Habitat for Humanity where she helped build houses and worked tirelessly on the recent auction. While living in Olympia, Sheri worked for the North Thurston Public Schools at both Komachin and Nisqually Middle schools as a Para educator and office professional. Sheri is survived by a son and two daughters, Nicholas Keith, nineteen; Tanya Keith, eighteen; and Lindsay Keith, seventeen; sister, Michelle Fitzgerald of Danville, California; mother, Hideko Neff of Olympia; father, Joseph Robichaud of East Haddam, Connecticut; boyfriend, Troy Oliver of Olympia; and countless other friends and family who loved Sheri very much. A memorial service will be held at Mills & Mills Funeral Home in Tumwater, at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2008. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Sheri P. Keith Memorial Fund that has been created to help pay for the college education of her surviving children. A donation can be made at any Bank of America.

Sheri, We only knew you on this Earth for a short time; and yet your kindness and compassion for others touched us deeply. It is our prayer that The Lord will show you how many lives you blessed and touched, and how deeply and intensely you will me missed. To know you was to glimpse into the love of God... You will always be loved by many.

To Sweet Tanya & the Keith family,
Madison just called me crying so much I couldn't understand her words. To hear of this huge loss is so saddening. I cannot hold back the tears. I will always be thankful for the years we shared our daughters, even mine traveling across the United States to be with your's. Your family will always have our family to call on. We will love them in anyway they need. I will miss you and sorrow deeply for your family.
With so much love and well wishes for happy times again.
Mrs Christine Heye, Madison Yost & Jasmine Yost. We miss you, Sherry!

I just found out that the vivacious Sheri who worked so hard and with such amazing success on Habitat's There's No Place Like Home benefit is gone - and I'm stunned. What a lovely, lovely young woman you were, with energy to burn, endless ideas, and the confidence to pull it all together. You will be missed, certainly by Habitat and your friends here, but I'm sure by a legion of admirers from all your past adventures. My condolences to all her family.

Sheri-How can you be gone? It has been almost 15 years since we last saw one another, but I hold you and your family as dear in my heart as if we were still together at Fr. Stewart or Ft. Knox. Yours is one of the sweetest spirits I have been blessed to know in this life. Nick, Tanya and Lindsay hold on to all the beauty that was and will always be your mom. She was an incredible person who loved you fiercely and devotedly. My heart breaks for this terrible, terrible loss. I wish words could help. But know that many, many people love you and your mom, and if ever, ever you need a friend in Tennessee, don't hesitate to come find me. All my love and prayers,
Becky

Your beautiful smile. That is what I will remember and hold in my heart. You made a difference in the lives of others without even knowing it. Your children are the deepest relection of your heart. They are simply amazing. I am deeply devestated that you are no longer here and I hope that you can see how many of us already miss you.
