Terry Whitlock Obituary

Terry Whitlock
December 3, 2020
Tumwater, Washington - Terry Whitlock passed away on December 3, 2020. He was born November 3, 1938 in Bismarck North Dakota to Harold and Margaret Whitlock. He married Loretta Camrud in 1966 and went to work for Peter Kiewit & Sons in New Orleans. Terry was a construction superintendent in Omaha, Prudhoe Bay, Richland and Olympia. In 1992 he built Mottman Center and enjoyed getting to know his tenants.
He enjoyed being in God's creation including fishing, photography, and soaking up the sun. He also enjoyed playing chess with his granddaughter, Willow. His passions were encouraging others, praying, and reading the Bible. Those things made him smile and always optimistic. Additionally, they prompted his service to people and generosity in many ways. He never met a stranger, being quick to talk to anyone he met. The echo of his life will carry forward his kindness and joy. Terry's confidence was that heaven is real and Jesus was his hope. He will be greatly missed.
Terry is survived by his wife Loretta, son Steve and his wife Kim, daughter Wendy and her husband Rick and granddaughter Willow and sister Karen. A memorial service will be at a later date. Suggestions for memorials are Cannon Beach Christian Conference Center (scholarship fund) – PO Box 398, Cannon Beach, OR - 97110 or Littlerock Community Fellowship, PO Box 221, Littlerock, WA 98556.
