Truman "TK" Severson Truman "TK" Severson, 75, passed away surrounded by his wife and children at St Peter Hospital on the afternoon of Saturday, August 27, 2016. He was born on August 7, 1941 in Seattle, WA to Truman Z. and Kay Severson. Truman married Judi Luberts on September 28, 1961. Truman was an aviation enthusiast, who built an open cockpit HATZ bi-plane from a set of plans. He was a fine artist and songwriter who loved to play guitar and fiddle, often enjoying family blue grass jam sessions. TK also enjoyed driving his 1930 Chevy coupe to cruise-ins. Truman treated everyone with kindness. His, was the heart of an artist, with his own vision and a voice like no other. He often charmed those around him with his humor and good nature. Survivors include Judi, his wife of 55 years; son, Scott Severson; daughters, Sandi Gilbreath and Donna Perusse; grandchildren, Bryon, Nathan, Thom, Steven and Josh; three great-grandchildren, Autumn, Ethan and Isaac; brother, Gordon Severson; and sisters, Michael Cooke and Patricia Hoffman. A celebration of Truman's life will be held on Saturday, September 3, at 2:00 p.m. at Benoschek Hall, Thurston County Fairgounds on Carpenter Road.
