William Rock Obituary

William C. Rock William (Bill) C. Rock, 72, passed away on May 13, 2014. He was born on April 11, 1942 in Olympia to Graham and Edythe Rock. He graduated from Olympia High School in 1960. Bill had a long career with the Washington State Department of Printing. After retirement, he and his wife, Shirley, moved to the Hood Canal, where he enjoyed fishing, crabbing, clam digging, and golfing. In his younger years, Bill played competitive baseball, playing on several teams including the Olympia Brewery team. Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 42 years, Shirley. He is survived by twin sister, Peggy Brink; his family, Nancy Noble (Ron), Cheri Kennedy (Jeff), Jill Thompson (Fred), Bill Rock, Jr., Bob Sundberg (Dawn), and Renee Anderson (Dave); three grandchildren, Lance Noble (Jennifer), Sean Anderson and James Anderson; and one great-granddaughter, Laney Noble. At Bill's request there will be no memorial service.
