Joseph D. Mounts Jr., 41, Knox Indiana, formerly of Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday August 28, 2016 at his residence.
He was born on June 28, 1975 in Rochester, Indiana, the son of Joseph D. "Joe" and Kathryn L. (Richardson) Mounts. On March 8, 2008, in Rochester, Indiana, he married Amanda Stone, and she survives.
He had worked for Kewanna Metal Specialties, Kewanna Indiana. In his spare time he enjoyed junking, race cars, hunting and fishing, U.F.C., and taking care of his children.
Survivors include his wife, Amanda Mounts, Knox, Indiana, children, Chase Bright, Rochester, Indiana, Matthew Mounts, Knox, Indiana, Jazmyn Mounts, Knox, Indiana, mother, Kathryn Mounts, Rochester, Indiana, grandmother, Phyllis Barrett, Rochester, Indiana, half- sisters, Teresa and husband Clark Kline, Ikes Fork, West Virginia, Kim and husband James Hunt, N. Manchester, Indiana, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph D. Mounts, half- brother, Mark Browning, grandfather, Leonard Earl Barrett, grandparents, Dempsey and Amanda Mounts, Sr., and uncles, Charles Richardson and Gary Richardson.
Funeral Services will take place at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday September 1, 2016 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Online condolences may be expressed at www.zimmermanbrosfh.com
