Larry Dean Beedy

Larry Dean Beedy, 81, of Plymouth, IN, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025 in Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne, IN.
Larry was born on January 26, 1944 to Roy L. and Ruth E. (Goodman) Beedy in Plymouth, IN. Larry was a lifelong resident of Plymouth, IN. He graduated from Plymouth High School in 1962 and attended Allied Institute of Technology of Chicago, IL, graduating in 1965. He married Helen I. Hutchings on December 12, 1965. He worked for 50 years, from 1972 until his retirement in 2022 as a tool designer and supervisor for Holbert Engineering of South Bend. He attended Plymouth Wesleyan Church. He enjoyed woodworking, making walking sticks and was an avid reader. He volunteered at Bread of Life, unloading food and picking up food for the pantry.
Larry will be dearly missed by his wife, Helen Beedy of Plymouth, IN; his daughters: Julie Beedy of Plymouth, IN; Shana (Doug) Conway of Goshen, IN; his grandchildren: Joshua (Melissa Kay) White of Bourbon, IN; Kyle (Melissa) White of Plymouth, IN; Amber (Brian) Pike of Lafontaine, IN; Caleb VanderReyden of Goshen, IN; Ashlynn (Sierra) Mills of Goshen, IN; Lauren (Jonathon Garcia) VanderReyden of Goshen, IN; Mack (Mollie) Conway of Goshen, IN; his 14 great-grandchildren; his 8 great-great-grandchildren; his sister, Robyn (Jeff Long) Hammonds of Plymouth, IN; and his special niece, Brooke (John) Large of Plymouth, IN.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Roy L. Beedy; Ruth E. South and Harold L. South; and his brother-in-law, JB Hammonds.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Plymouth Wesleyan Church (11203 Michigan Rd, Plymouth, IN 46563). A funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Taylor Hulse officiating.
The burial will take place in New Oak Hill Cemetery (Plymouth, IN) at a later date.
The family requests that memorial donations in Larry's honor be made to Bread of Life (6770 N. Michigan Road, Plymouth, IN 46563).
