ROCHESTER - Mr. Melvin "Mel" Lawrence Swango, 67, of Rochester, passed away at 2:49 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015 at Woodlawn Hospital.
Mel is lovingly remembered by his wife, Frankie; a daughter: Valerie Willard Hammel and husband Eric; four sons: David Willard and wife Jeannie Spradling Willard, Chad Swango and wife Misty Johnson Swango, Andrew Swango, Jeremy Swango and wife Kellie Urban Swango all of Rochester; two brothers: Steve Swango of Virginia Beach, Va. and David Swango and wife Debbie of Rochester; a sister-in-law: Cindy Swango of Plymouth.
A celebration of the life of Melvin "Mel" L. Swango will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, 2015 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W.18th St., Rochester. Friends may visit with his family from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015 and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
