COLUMBIA CITY - Janet Sue Patterson, 77, of Columbia City, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025, at The Waters of Columbia City.
Born on Nov. 1, 1947, in Columbia City, Indiana, she was a daughter of Jess and Madge (Sharp) Mathias.
She graduated from Larwill High School with the Class of 1966.
Sue was in janitorial work and manufacturing for a number of years.
She was a member of New Hope Wesleyan Church.
Sue loved to sit on her swing, looking at her flowers and bird watch. Her family was a great joy to her. She enjoyed spending time outdoors with her children and grandchildren.
Sue is survived by her husband, Robert Patterson; children, Shelia Jackson, Paul Ramp and Josh (Jennifer) Reister; stepdaughter, Vicki Brock; 27 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her sister, Karen (Ronnie) Wolf; and stepson, Robbie Patterson.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a funeral service at 1 p.m., on Monday, Jan. 27, 2025, at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.
Memorial donations may be given in memory of Sue, to New Hope Wesleyan Church.
