ANNA BAILEY Obituary
She was born on Feb. 14, 1929 in Hann-Munden, Germary the daughter of the late Fritz and Luise (Rudolph) Wiezowicki.
On Jan. 26, 1952 she married Glenn T. Bailey, Sr. in Hann-Munden, West Germany; he preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 2003.
Anna worked for various businesses in downtown Clearfield.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Clearfield. She enjoyed carpentry work, sewing, cooking, camping, boating, bowling and spending time with her grandchildren.
Anna is survived by her four children, Nancy Gallagher and her husband John of Collegeville, Geraldine Bailey-Rhodes of Clearfield, Carol Hohnka and her husband Lewis of Fredericksburg, Va., and Glenn T. Bailey Jr. and his wife Sharon of Bigler; 12 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren; she is also survived by two sisters, Erika Schiefer of Hanover, Germany and Siegrid Luchert of Kassel, Germany; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Anna was preceded in death by a son, William C. "Bill" Bailey; two brothers, Hans Jurgent and George Wiezowicki; four sisters, Inge Pache, Johanna Kuhn, Irmgard Winter and Lisa Roddert.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., Clearfield.
A funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. with the Rev. Randy Hughes officiating.
Burial will be at Bloomington Cemetery.
