DANIEL LANICH Obituary

ANSONVILLE - Daniel L. Lanich, 59, of Ansonville died on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2022 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

He was born on Aug. 8, 1962 in Clearfield, a son of Charles 'Sam' and Nancy (Shaffer) Lanich.

Buddha was a mechanic and heavy equipment operator. He worked for Robbins Lumber and various other places. He enjoyed going riding in his side by side. He dearly loved his dogs, Nova and Abby. He liked to take them swimming and take them anywhere he went.

He is survived by his wife, Laurie (Biss) Lanich, whom he wed Sept. 5, 1981; his mother, Nancy A. Lanich; two children, Danielle Lanich and significant other Ken Smay, and Charlie Lanich; two sisters, Sandra Lord and husband Bryon, and Susan Lanich Swales; numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Joanne Lanich and Jennifer Lanich; and a former sister-in-law, Mary Beth Lanich.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Christopher Lanich, and Michael J. Lanich, Sr.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

Buddha always kept his dogs with them. Enjoyed seeing Buddha, Laurie and the dogs at the Lewis reunion every year.
